Creating sites

Use this procedure to create a new web site within the current ACTIVE CM installation. You can have multiple web sites within a single installation.

When you create a site, the Home page is automatically created.

  1. If you are using the Site Groups feature in the ACM, be sure you have created a site group that this new site will be assigned to.

  2. From the System menu, select the Sites manager.

  3. Click Add Site.

  4. Complete the Site Details section and click Save to create the new site.

  5. Complete the settings on the Publication tab and save your work.

  6. Complete the User Profile tab if you wish to gather customized information on new users.

  7. To customize system variables for this site, complete the Site Variables tab.

  8. If this site has its own system support group, complete the Support tab.

  9. If you are publishing your site in more than one language, complete the Translation Set tab.

  10. Click Save to retain additions and edits.
