Sites manager - add site details
This section allows you to create a site by providing a site name and some initial site information. Once you have completed this section you must click Save. Additional site configuration tabs will then be displayed.
Active: The default is for this checkbox to be checked, meaning that any new site you create is automatically Active (available for editing and publication of content). If you wish to inactivate a site temporarily, uncheck the Active checkbox. For example, you may have a test site that people are working with and you may wish to inactivate it to make additional changes.
Site Name: This field is required and is the name that will be used throughout the ACTIVE Content Manager to identify this site. This name is not visible to users of your public web site.
Default Email: The email address you enter here is used as the "From" email in correspondence sent from the site (for example the emails sent automatically by the Survey and Application Form page types).
Email Display Name: This is the name that is displayed in the From email address field - the name associated with the Default Email address you entered in the previous field.
Personalization: If you want to use Personalization on this site, select if you would like to Allow it or Require it. If you set Personalization to Required, access to your entire site will be restricted to those who have authorized user ids and passwords. If you set it to Allow, your site can have pages or sections that require authorized access and others that do not. A site that is entirely public with no restricted areas should have Personalization set to None. See Personalization overview for additional information.
Site Group: If you are creating a site that is to be part of a Site Group, select the Site Group from this drop-down. You can only add to a site group if you have already created the group. When you select a site group, the system will display a message saying that a variety of information will be cleared when you save the site to the site group. Click OK since this is a new site you will not lose anything.
Save: You must click Save to save the new site and display the additional configuration tabs.
