Global system variables - user profile tab

Click here for an OverviewOverview The fields and questions you add to this tab become part of each user's user record. Each time you add a user to the ACM, the questions from this tab are displayed and depending on whether you have flagged them as required, the person creating the user must answer the questions. This allows you to customize the type of information you gather when creating user records. :

• New: Hold your mouse over the New button and select a question/field type to add to the user profile tab. If you are unsure of what each question type does, see the Question types topic. Once you have selected a question type, the question editor is opened with the fields that are specific to the type of question you selected.

• : Click this button to export questions from this tab to an .XML file. You can then import the questions to another site or ACM installation.

• : Click this button to import an .XML file containing questions. If you have not created an .XML file you can manually create questions by clicking New and selecting a question type.

• Order: This is the order in which the questions/fields will appear on the user profile tab of the user record.

• : Click this edit button to make changes to the question's wording or settings.

•   : These two buttons are the Copy Question and Paste Question buttons. Click the button to copy a question to the clipboard (in your computer's memory). The question only appears as a copy once you have indicated where you want to place the copy. To place the copy, select a question below which to place the new question and click the icon.

• Question: The text that appears here is the text you typed in the Question Editor's Question Text field when you created the question. To change this text, edit the question by clicking on the icon to the left of the question text.

• Type: This column indicates what a question's Type is (e.g. Email, Country Selector, List, Radio Button, etc.).

• Active: This column indicates whether a question is currently in use on the form. If the Active box is checked the question will be displayed on the published form. If the box is unchecked the question will not be displayed.
  
  NOTE: When you first create questions, the default is for them to be INACTIVE. Thus, each time you create a question you must manually check the Active checkbox to make sure it appears on the user profile tab.

• : Click this Delete icon to remove a question.
