Add multiple
assets
This page allows you to upload a zipped file containing multiple digital asset files.
Active: You can choose to have the uploaded assets Active (available for use) immediately upon upload. Or you can clear this box, and the uploaded assets remain inactive (not available for use) until you change their status to Active again. If you are unsure of the status of the assets you are uploading, and you need to review them first, clear this box.
Assign to Folder: Select the folder you want to place the uploaded assets into.
Add Subfolder: This field is used to add a new subfolder for storing assets. Start by entering the parent folder in the Assign to Folder field. This is where the subfolder will be added. Then, in the Add Subfolder field, type the name of the new folder and click Add. The new subfolder is moved automatically to the Assign to Folder field. Thus, when you click Save to add the new assets, they are placed in your new folder.
Zip file: Click the Browse button to locate the zipped file (your file must have the extension .zip). It is recommended that you zip all files of a similar format together in a single ZIP file. For example, all documents in one file, all images in another, all videos in another.
Note: ACM doesn't support uploading ZIP files made on a Mac. However, files made with a third-party application on a Mac might work.
Override existing assets: Select Override existing assets to have the system overwrite the existing file if it encounters a file with the same name. Clear Override existing assets to have the system rename the uploaded file if it encounters a file with the same name.
Type
of Assets: If you are uploading video files, make sure that
video files are the only type of file in the zipped file. Then you
can select FlashVideo from
the drop-down. If the videos are not already in the .FLV format, they
will be automatically converted upon upload.
For all other types of files (not video files), select File
from the drop-down.
Optimize Image: If the Global System Variables and/or the Site Variables have set Image Optimization to be optional, then you can edit this field. If it is set to required, then this option is selected but unavailable, and you aren't able to edit it. If you are able to change this field, decide whether you want to reduce the size of the images you are uploading to optimize them for use by the ACM. You can clear the checkbox if you do not wish to optimize the images being uploaded. However, it is recommended that where possible you elect to optimize all images being used in the ACM.
